09:00 pm - Champions Online
So I picked up Champions Online today. Played it a little in the Beta, but few my of my usual gaming buddies have picked it up. After about 45 minutes of fiddling with character designs i finally settled on one.
Behold a new Hero arrives. His name is: Aeon

12:02 am - Avengers Assemble!! (as long as no trademarks are breached)
I have just got into the Champions Online beta! Now I just have to download the client, and think of a badass Hero to create. But since it's midnight the gaming will have to wait till after work tomorrow.

02:39 pm - Grabbed from Head Hunters forum
I now recognise the artist, and no longer find this sort of thing unsurprising. I blame Amy and Anna!

The face needs to be redone, a little too much highlighting on it. But for 30 mins work, most of that working what colours to actually use, I'm very pleased with it. Especially since I last painted about 7 years ago.

12:41 am - I approve!
I saw the Ladyboys of Bangkok on sunday evening. Was bloody fantastic. Awesome routines, fabulous costumes and good humour aswell. Also some the Ladyboys are unfeasably attractive, with fantastic bodies. It's well worth seeing when it comes to Edinburgh during the festival.

06:43 pm - the (mis)adventures of an ANGEL SUMMONER!!!!
In which he doesn't actually summon an Angel.
So, last Friday I played my first 4th Ed D&D game. On the way through to Kirkcaldy, me and Stu were talking about how to shoehorn my character into the game. I said that wouldn't it be cool if the party came across and Inn. An Inn called the Shoehorn Inn.

See what I did there?

Anyways, Blair (GM), had the group come across a camp. In said camp was a cage with my character sitting in it, eyes closed in meditation. After being released, introductions were made. Described my Invoker as one "who channels the Will of his God through him", got some odd looks from the rest. More confused looks, as everytime we come across bodies, I mutter a small prayer and consecrate the bodies. Don't do this with nasty monster-types though.

What did I learn from the game? Running into the middle of a group of zombie-wolves, casting Rebuke Undead, is a good idea. Not killing all the Zombie-wolves in one go, is a bad idea. Blair is allowing me to rebuild the character a little, after properly reading my abilities.

Still not overly convinced by the system. Combat is pretty much like playing a tabletop wargame. Granted I do play those anyways, but it still doesn't mesh with me in regards roleplaying.

Willing to give it more sessions, really enjoyed the game. Therefore I can probably overlook my misgiving for the system
